A large Yixing grapevine teapot
The globular body of buff coloured stoneware, decorated with purple clay applied moulding of grapevines, the handle and spout naturalistically formed as a branch, the lid similarly decorated with a grape motif that symbolizes abundance, fertility, and a prosperous family lineage. A similar teapot is held in the Wuxi Museum.
