Bronze Avalokiteshvara seated on a kylin
The bodhisattva is depicted seated in rajalilasana on a richly adorned mythical kylin, set upon a lotus base. He holds lotus stems in both hands and is dressed in a dhoti and adorned with jewellery. His serene face is framed by hair arranged in a high chignon, surmounted by a crown bearing the image of Amitabha Buddha. Traces of gilding and polychromy remain.
